SUMMARY:Art Workshop: Abstract Acrylic Painting
DESCRIPTION:Abstract Acrylic Painting with Cristian Andersson\n\nSaturday-Sunday\, July 27-28\, 2019 | 9am-4pm both days | Ages 15+\n\n590 Water St\, Prairie du Sac\, WI 53578\n\n \n\nHave you been interested in painting abstractly\, but not been sure of the way to start? Do you want experience creating a painting based off of emotions and sensory observations not necessarily coming from sight?\n\nIn this two day class we will explore just that\, by the use of different mark making techniques and the personal exploration of how you abstractly perceive your environment. We will be looking at and discussing work by abstract expressionists\, and thinking about how external sources\, such as music\, can impact a finished painting.\n\nCristian Andersson graduated from UW-Green Bay in 2013 with a BA in studio and design arts\, and had attended Columbia College in Chicago prior. His focus in painting is in abstraction\, and has recently also been working in installation and performance art. A major theme he incorporates in his work is the effect mass media and technology has on humanity. Cristian works out of a studio located in Appleton\, Wisconsin.
