DESCRIPTION:Beginning Drawing with John Ribble\n\nSaturday Feb 29 and Sunday March 1\, 2020 | 9am-4pm\, might finish early second day | Ages 16+\n\n590 Water St\, Prairie du Sac\, WI 53578\n\nClass Fee: $150/person\n\n\n\n \n\nJoin instructor John Ribble for this perfect introduction to the fundamentals of drawing\, it's media and surfaces\, and it's significance in all things artistic. Students in this class do not need any prior experience in drawing\, just an open mind and willingness to learn.\n\nTopics will include:\n\n\n	Drawing as thinking: organization\, planning\, and establishing a purpose for drawing\n	Emphasis on structural drawing\n	Focusing on line\, value\, and form\n\n\nAll drawings in this class will be done from life\, not photography. John will bring in several visually interesting objects to set up unique still life settings.\n\nSupplies students should bring with them:\n\n-Drawing pad size 18"x24" or larger.\n\n-Variety of several 2B and 4B charcoal pencils\n\n-Variety of erasers (be sure to include at least one rubber and one kneaded eraser)\n\nAbout John:\n\nJohn Ribble has worked as a professional graphic designer and art director\, as well as a freelance illustrator\, for over 30 years. He was a full time faculty member in the Graphic Design & Illustration Program at Madison Area Technical College for 32 years.\n\nHe has been a plein air landscape artist for the past 25 years and is represented by the Abel Contemporary Gallery in Stoughton\, WI. John is married to artist Cynthia Quinn\, and together they have two very creative daughters and two naughty corgis.
