DESCRIPTION:Commercial Land is an arts-based workshop that empowers young people with the tools and motivation to become better informed consumers of media\, advertising and entertainment. Led by Kelly Parks Snider\, this exhibit features student artwork from an artist in residency at the Sauk Prairie Schools as well as professional artwork from Snider's traveling exhibit.\n\n\n\nHidden in Plain Sight: An Exhibition of Art and Activism\n\nCertain issues are fundamental to the human condition. They influence how we live\, and in some cases if we live. They are highly complex and charged\, dealing with all aspects of justice and inequality. Kelly Parks Snider's newest exhibit matches selections of her original artwork with commentaryt from a distinqguished group of writers and scholars. The project examines eleven compelling social justice issues through art in a range of media from paper to steel.
