DESCRIPTION:Crafts and Drafts: Stamp Like a Champ with Chickadiddy\n\nFriday\, February 21\, 2020 | 7-9pm | Ages 21+\n\n590 Water St\, Prairie du Sac\, WI 53578\n\nClass Fee: $50/person\n\n \n\n\n	Learn to carve and print your own unique stamp.\n	Create customized hand stamped goods.\n	No experience necessary. In fact\, it's preferred!\n	Enjoy a small group setting for personal attention.\n\n\nMadison based artist Karli Didrickson\, BFA UW-Madison and owner/artist at Chickadiddy\, will demonstrate the basic principles of relief printmaking. Participants will learn how to create and carve an image of their choice into a synthetic rubber block (linocut)\, then learn how to ink and print their image using traditional relief printmaking tools and techniques.\n\nWhat's included?\n\nParticipants will be provided carving tools\, instruction\, and ink to use during the class\, and will take home their original hand carved stamp for additional future use. Each participant will also receive a cotton canvas tote bag to print on and take home. If you are fresh out of funky ideas for your stamp\, no worries! There will be plenty of fun images provided to get you started. We'll also provide two drink tickets per person (beer and malt beverages only\, sorry no wine). \n\nWhat we need from you?\n\nYou are welcome to bring your own additional blank items (stationery\, baby onesie\, t-shirt ) to print on during the class. Any paper goods or fabric item with a flat/tight weave (i.e. cotton\, silk\, jersey\, flannel\, polyester ) will work. It may get messy\, so wear clothing you do not mind getting stained.\n\nCrafts & Drafts is a series of monthly classes based around the "wine and paint night" concept. We just decided to go with something a little more Wisconsin   so we added beer! These fun\, pressure-free classes are a great way to unwind after work\, meet up with friends\, celebrate a special event\, and make a cool project for your home.We encourage you to wear clothes that you don't mind getting dirty\, FYI. Each class lasts two hours\, and includes all necessary supplies\, a class instructor\, and two drink tickets. Come back each month to make a different project!
