SUMMARY:Hand and Eye Relic Sculptures with Amy Mietzel
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a playful and imaginative workshop where you'll create your own one-of-a-kind mini "relics" using a mix of found objects\, charms\, and metallic paint. Think of them as tiny treasures part sculpture\, part talisman\, and all uniquely yours.\n\nWe'll explore the art of stacking\, assembling\, and adorning small hand-sized forms using an eclectic mix of materials from quirky odds and ends to shiny metallic finishes. You're invited to bring your own collection of small trinkets\, keepsakes\, or broken jewelry or dive into our curated stash of curious bits and bobs.\n\nYou'll make up to three pieces during the session\, each one layered with meaning\, humor\, and personality. Expect a relaxed\, hands-on environment full of creative surprises no experience needed\, just a sense of play!\n\n\n\nRelics will be only at the maximum size of 4 inches and smaller.\n\n \n\nInstructor Bio: Amy Mietzel was a middle school art educator for over 21 years. Teaching in Madison and Janesville she learned to not take anything a middle schooler says personally. She believes with her whole heart that creating art matters. Like most art teachers she walks a fine line between normal and hoarding materials that have a purpose. She now teaches out of her studio called Bare Knuckle Arts in Madison\, WI.
