The Dorf Haus popular Friday night haddock fish fry with fritters is also a special on Wednesdays\, as well as Fridays\, during Lent. Cost is $14.95.\n\n \n\nThe turtle tradition started 36 years ago when the late Vern Maier\, original Dorf Haus owner\, thought his loyal customers\, many of whom were Catholics\, would like to try something different\, other than fish during lent and turtle qualifies.\n\n \n\nDiners are encouraged to call ahead to order turtle at 608-643-3980.
