SUMMARY:Museum History and Ethics
DESCRIPTION:"Museum History and Ethics" is an invitation to learn\, discuss\, and contemplate the abundant and complex systems and institutions that play a role in governing the Art world. This event will be both a lecture and a conversation\, the goal of which is to promote your curiosity and to help us all to keep asking that age old question\, "why?" Why is that piece in a museum and another one isn't? Why do museums look like that? These questions and more will be discussed and explored.\n\nAbout the Instructor: Angelica Bare\n\nAngelica is an interdisciplinary artist based out of Madison\, Wisconsin\, and holds a bachelor's degree in Art and Design from the University of Northwestern\, St. Paul. Through the undergraduate Fine Arts program Angelica worked as a Teaching Assistant\, curating for department shows\, assisting with permanent collection management\, as well as the installation and deinstallation processes in the gallery spaces on campus. Currently Angelica works as an Art Instructor and freelancer.\n\n\n\nhttps://www.riverartsinc.org/angelica-museum-ethics/
