Join us Tuesday, May 19, 2026 for the 4th Annual Good Neighbor Ride. Bike with us on the Great Sauk State Trail to honor the legacy of Dr. Haakon Carlson, a Prairie clinic physician and founder of the Good Neighbor Clinic, a free community clinic whose mission is to improve the health and lives of people who face financial, cultural or language barriers that keep them from accessing quality healthcare.

The ride will begin at 5:00 pm at the NEW Good Neighbor Clinic located at 726 Water Street, Suite A, Sauk City, WI (located in the former police station behind the Village of Sauk City building).

This is a community ride - ride and finish at your own pace.

The Great Sauk State Trail does require a trail pass, but if you don't have one, no worries!  Our friend and board member Peter van der Hagen of Edward Jones will pay the cost of the daily trail pass for anyone riding in this event (thank you, Peter!).  If you will need a trail pass for that day, please check the box on the registration form or contact emma.kippley@saukprairiehealthcare.org.

The destination of our ride is Dr. Carlson's memorial bench located near 11S (between mile markers 8 and 9) on the Great Sauk State Trail. This route is about 6.5 miles to the bench, 13 miles round trip. But you can choose to bike farther or shorter, depending on your comfort level. 

The Good Neighbor Ride is sponsored by Sauk Prairie Healthcare Foundation and the donations raised will benefit the Good Neighbor Clinic. While we do not require a registration fee, a $25 suggested donation is appreciated. Those who donate $125 or more will receive a custom Good Neighbor Ride bike jersey.
