Interactive Poverty Experience
Poverty is a reality for many individuals and families in Sauk County. But unless you’ve experienced poverty, it’s difficult to truly understand.
The Interactive Poverty Experience helps bridge the gap from misconception to understanding by exposing you to the realities of poverty.
Over the course of the IP Experience, you will take on the identity of a real person living in poverty. You will role-play living a month in poverty trying to maintain your basic needs.
At the conclusion of the role-play, you are invited to discuss their experience and what they learned. Everyone leaves with a challenge to discover what their next steps will be toward being a part of the poverty solution.
