Sauk City Village Park: If You Plant It, They Will Come
Have you ever admired the beautiful flowers along the Sauk City Riverwalk and wondered how they got there — or what lives among them? Join us for an engaging and educational evening at the George Culver Community Library on Thursday, April 9, 2026, from 6:30–7:30 PM.
Local experts and enthusiasts Susan Kenney and Angus Mossman will share the story behind the Sauk City Village parkland. Susan will discuss how the land was formed, highlight habitat restoration efforts over the past 20 years, and outline plans for the future. Angus will present findings from his insect surveys, showcasing some of the fascinating species that call the park home and explaining why spaces like this are so important to our landscape.
This free program is open to all ages — families welcome! Come learn how thoughtful planting and restoration can help nature thrive right here in our community.
