Pharmacy Technician

Position Description:  We are looking for a friendly and responsible individual with at least 1 year of Pharmacy Technician experience or Pharmacy Technician Certification.  Long Term Care experience is a plus.  Individual will assist Pharmacist in daily pharmacy tasks.   Hours will be scheduled during weekday, daytime hours.   Pharmacy is open Monday through Friday 8AM-4:30PM.  Benefits start at 20 hours/week.

Responsibilities/Duties:
*Data entry of prescription information.  Including, but not limited to: drug selection, allergy selection and insurance information.
*Contacting insurance companies when appropriate
*Maintaining a clean and safe work space
*Filling bubble pack/blister card medications. 
*Answering phone
*Preparing and organizing medications for pharmacist to check.
*Billing
*Ordering drugs and supplies for pharmacy
Requirements:
*Ability to master two software platforms.
*Ability to work in fast-paced environment.
*Ability to maintain focus and accuracy.
*Ability to work in a team environment
*Math skills adequate for calculating day supply information
*Dependable
*Must be 18 years old
*Willingness to be slightly flexible with hours, either coming in slightly later and leaving slightly later, from time to time.
