Meet Our Community Engagement Coordinator: Jayda Lochner - Connecting Sauk Prairie Businesses and Residents

At the Sauk Prairie Chamber of Commerce, we are always looking for ways to strengthen the connections between our businesses, members, and the broader community. That’s why we’re excited to introduce our new Community Engagement Coordinator, a role designed to foster relationships, support local businesses, and help our community thrive.

What is a Community Engagement Coordinator?

The Community Engagement Coordinator serves as the bridge between the Chamber, its members, and the Sauk Prairie community. This position focuses on creating meaningful interactions with downtown businesses, promoting events and initiatives, and showcasing the stories of our members in compelling ways. Through direct engagement, strategic outreach, and creative marketing efforts, the Coordinator helps ensure that the Chamber is not only visible but also valued throughout our community.

How the Role is Put Into Practice

The responsibilities of our Community Engagement Coordinator are diverse and hands-on. Key responsibilities include:

• Serving as a primary liaison for downtown businesses and Chamber members on Thursdays and Fridays, creating personal connections and gathering feedback.

• Promoting and supporting local businesses through relationship building and highlighting their offerings to the wider community.

• Developing and implementing creative go-to-market strategies to showcase member services, events, and initiatives.

• Creating and managing engaging social media content across platforms like Facebook and Instagram to tell the story of our community.

• Capturing photo and video content using smartphones and other tools to produce compelling, shareable stories.

• Assisting in organizing and promoting community and Chamber events, ensuring they run smoothly and are widely attended.

• Supporting member recruitment and retention efforts, helping to grow the Chamber family and strengthen local business networks.

• Collaborating with the Chamber team on projects that enhance visibility and provide tangible value for members.

By integrating all of these responsibilities, the Coordinator ensures that both Chamber members and the community at large feel supported, informed, and inspired to engage.

About Jayda

Jayda has deep roots in Sauk Prairie—her grandparents, Jerry and Elaine Lochner, opened Ace Hardware here back in 1951. She’s traveled to more than 18 countries and brings a worldly perspective to her work, but no matter how far she goes, she’s always excited to come home to the Sauk Prairie area. In addition to her Chamber role, she owns her own photography, film, and graphic design business, Bluff Minded Media, which allows her to capture and share stories in creative ways. Her passion for community, creativity, and connection makes her the perfect person to help our Chamber and local businesses shine.
