Sauk City, Wisconsin - The Sauk Prairie Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors is pleased to announce that following a national search, Storm Linjer has been selected as the Chamber’s next Executive Director. Storm will succeed Tywana German, who retired in June after 16 years of dedicated leadership.
 
“It’s an honor to serve the Sauk Prairie area as the Chamber’s next Executive Director,” Storm said. “I’m excited to work alongside our members and community partners, listen to their ideas and priorities, and learn more about the opportunities and challenges facing our region. The Chamber has an incredible foundation to build on, and I look forward to working together to turn that foundation into an even stronger future for our businesses and communities.”
 
In May, the board retained Peter Gray Executive Search to launch a national search that produced many highly qualified candidates. After careful deliberation and discussion of the Chamber’s current needs, Storm Linjer became the clear choice.

We are confident she will build on the Chamber's success and help lead Sauk Prairie into an exciting new chapter.”
 
A resident of Sauk City, Storm Linjer joins the Chamber after serving as Chief of Staff to the Co-Chair of Wisconsin’s Joint Committee on Finance. In that capacity, Storm’s responsibilities included management of the state’s budget-writing committee and guidance of the state’s $114 billion biennial budget through complex negotiations to bipartisan passage. Born and raised in Oshkosh, Storm graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and settled in Sauk City as the ideal community in which to live and raise her family.

Storm steps in to lead a Chamber that has grown into one of the region's most influential community organizations, serving nearly 400 member businesses while providing leadership and collaboration across three villages, seven townships, Sauk County, and the Sauk Prairie School District.

The Chamber's impact extends far beyond traditional business services. Over the past decade and a half, it has served as a catalyst for economic development, business growth, tourism promotion, and workforce initiatives that have strengthened both the local economy and quality of life throughout the Sauk Prairie region.

Among the Chamber’s recent successful initiatives was bringing together community stakeholders to develop collaborative solutions addressing the area's most pressing workforce challenges. These conversations resulted in a new 168-slot early learning center that opened in September 2025 and breaking ground on a new housing development geared toward working families. Other key accomplishments include successful downtown revitalization efforts, community enhancement and park projects, tourism initiatives that showcase the region's natural and cultural assets, and leadership programs that cultivate future community leaders.

Storm will join the Sauk Prairie Area Chamber of Commerce in late September. She is already working closely with the Chamber’s staff and Board of Directors to ensure a smooth leadership transition.
