The Historic Apple Trees of Badger

Among the special features of the former Badger Army
Ammunition Plant are historic apple trees that predate the
development of the Plant in 1942. At least 175 trees are
scattered across the Badger lands–among the last vestiges
of the original family farms. This year the Sauk Prairie
Conservation Alliance began work to identify and protect
