POSITION SUMMARY
We have an opportunity for a new addition to our team. We are looking for candidates that can bring their passion for helping others, along with professionalism, personable customer service skills and a warm welcoming smile. Our goal is to WOW every patient every time! The customer experience is the most important thing to us.
JOB DUTIES & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Duties will include greeting and working directly with patients, pretesting and assisting the Dr. You will also learn to answer multi-line phone systems, perform contact lens insertion and removal training and general patient flow. Experience not necessary, WILL TRAIN the right candidate. Customer service skills a MUST. Candidate will be required to work Thursday evening until 7:30pm. And 1-2 Saturdays a month from 7:30-12. Job responsibilities
- Assist optometrist with patient care, including performing tests on patients
- Prepare examination rooms and equipment for patient visits
- Perform basic medical office tasks such as answering phones, scheduling appointments, and managing medical records
- Assist with medical coding and billing processes
- Maintain aseptic technique and infection control measures in the office
- Utilize electronic health record systems for documentation purposes
- Provide support to patients
Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in recording patient information
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients and other healthcare professionals
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in using computer systems and electronic health records
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to ophthalmology and optometry(Desired but Will train)
